URGENT MESSAGE

Sent: Thursday, August 25, 2011 4:21:32 PM
Subject: Hurricane Irene Updates from Ocean Point, Ltd *URGENT*

Owners,

Please be advised of the latest from Ocean City Emergency Management.

- The expectations of the storm are to be 90-120 mph wind gusts with up to 10 inches of rain.

- There will be about a 5-7 foot storm surge and with our waters as warm as they are right now, town emergency officials call this storm “Gloria On Steroids” (for those that were here in the 80’s).

-The Mayor has called for a State of Emergency.

-ALL citizens are to evacuate no later than 5PM tomorrow.  Police will be going door to door to make sure people have left and if you do NOT leave, they will advise you of the fact that you will not be able to call 911 and get assistance as they too are not going to be allowed in the town – they will then take down your personal information to include your next of kin.

- NO travelers will be permitted INTO the town after 12 Midnight tonight.

-Ocean City’s emergency radio signal may be found on 1670AM.- Town of Ocean City Updates can be found as www.oceancitymd.gov

As far as Ocean Point, Ltd's properties and offices are concerned. We are entering emergency mode here as well. Our office will be closed tomorrow throughout the weekend and possibly into Monday. Please utilize the Ocean Point, Ltd phone number for emergencies only. E-mail would probably be the best mode of contact for our office (Connor- oceananswer@gmail.com and Steve oceanpoint@msn.com).

Arrangements can be made to do property inspections early next week as the weather and conditions permit.

Delaware Elevator has been instructed to shut down the elevator's and move them to the top floor of each building. We will finish with storm shutters tomorrow.

This is not a storm to "ride out" in town. Please be careful as property can be replaced, but life and health cannot. Be safe and take care.

Hope you can report the same wherever you live.
