Re: Bike Storage and Donations for Irish Student Summer Workers
Hi to all,
Two things:
1. The bike rack/enclosure on the east end of the building is really designed for and meant for temporary storage for vacationers and weekenders--not year round storage. Bikes kept there year round will turn to rust pretty quickly due to the rain and salt air. There are bikes stored there year round that appear to be used infrequently if at all and they take up space that was meant for owners and guests on a temporary basis. Please consider keeping your bikes in your units or hauling them back and forth or donating them to charity. No bikes in the garage storage areas. If you have questions or comments, we can discuss this at the Owner's Meeting, May 9, 1:00pm, West OCVFD hall, so please plan to attend.
2. A local Irish Outreach Program helps to provide jobs and housing for students from Ireland seeking to work in Ocean City for the summer. Their only transportation is the bus system and donated bikes. But, they also need all types of donations such as linens, pillows, dishes, etc., etc. If you would like to donate a bike or anything to our young Irish friends, please contact Paul or Robin Engstenberg, unit 404. Phone: 302-674-4634, or 302-465-6533.
Thanks to all and happy Spring!
Jim
