Hi to all,

Connor from Ocean Point just sent me a text advising that as of
7pm our building and grounds are looking ok.  Hope we make
it thru the night ok.  I'll advise as I hear more first hand info.

Attached is a picture taken a little earlier showing the water near
the top of the bulkhead.

I have just received an e-mail from Connor who said that he inspected all of the units today and there was no visible damage.

Hi to all,

I have not been to OC, but our condo seems to have come through the storm unscathed, to the best of my knowledge.

Ocean Point and the Timeshare President, Jay Breakiron, have both reported no visible damage from the outside of the building. I understand the boat dock finger piers were covered with seaweed and debris, but Jay offered to work on cleaning them up. Jay has entered at least two units on the 4th floor and reports no water damage in the ceiling or by the sliding glass doors. We are very fortunate.

OC itself sustained flooding south of 17th street and large parts of the entertainment'fishing pier were washed away. Fagers Island (restaurant and bar) suffered some flooding damage. I understand that north of us, Fenwick Island suffered flood damage on the bay side.

I hope everyone is doing ok in the aftermath of Sandy.

To all Marlin Cove Timeshare Owners,

I hope that this finds everyone safe and well after last weeks Superstorm Sandy.
Last week Rosemary and I went to Ocean City on Thursday following the storm. Marlin Cove did not suffer any damage from the storm. I had the opportunity to visibly check the outside of the building and a few of the interior of a few units of friends of ours. The only signs of the storm were that all of the docks had a lot of sea grass on them that I cleared off.

Ocean Point had secured all of the patio furniture by moving in to the interior of the units and was following up with having the roof inspected. They are to be commended for taking preventative action.

Since we stayed through Sunday we had a chance to travel around to see the extent of damage to the area in and around Ocean City, Bethany, and Rehobeth. In OC, at the inlet about 100feet of the end of the fishing/entertainment pier had been washed away but most of the shops on the Boardwalk were opened for business. The Inlet parking lot had lot of sand on it but they were removing it with heavy equipment and restoring the beach in that area. The beach at 120th Street was in good shape with the dunes holding back any water coming in from the ocean. There was floooding from 17th Street to the inlet immediately following the storm as well in Fenwick, mostly from the bay, but by Thursday it had subsided and cleanup was completed. However Coastal Highway from Indian River Inlet was closed due to a mass of sand that had gathered on the road and they had heavy equipment moving the sand off of the roadway. It is expected to be open by now.

Again our building faired very well and thanks to Ocean Point for keeping us informed during the storm, taking precautions to secure the building, and following up on assessing potential damages.
